How it Works
This is the process of getting set-up on C4RT
Register Your Brand on C4RT
Register your brand for free on our platform by choosing a username. Add your business address, logo, a description of your business and fill in the fields that are used in producing your invoices.

We’ve got UK based customer support standing by to help you with any problems that you may experience during the setup phase of your account. We’ve made this as simple as possible and can help which we hope will 100% guarantee your success with our service. If you decide that you like and want to use our software in our business, we’ll go above and beyond to ensure you’re fully up to speed with using it.
Add Payment Keys
Register for an account with Stripe Payments and you will be given some API keys which you need to enter into your settings area. There are two types of keys: “TEST/DEV” and “LIVE”. You’ll test out your c4rt in “TEST/DEV” mode and once you’ve launched you can then add your “LIVE” keys (and take live online payments at 0% – minus the tiny bit that Stripe takes – the “standard bank charges” bit).
Configure Your Settings
Customise all of the emails that are sent to your customers (Welcome email, new order email, order approved email, order ready email and order complete email). Charge taxes, allow collections and/or deliveries, charge for deliveries, restrict distance on orders, set closing times (or not) and many more.
Build Your Store
Add categories and products to your store with the click of a button and edit the products in our “live” editor. We don’t have any save buttons on the site – anything you change is instantly committed to memory – a bit like an app. You’ll need to get used to it because you’ve not used anything like this before but it’s there to make your life easier.
Test Your Store
Once you’ve created your store in the admin area you’ll be able to see what it looks like for your customers by “Viewing” your store. When you’re in “DEV/TEST” mode, as the store owner, you’ll be able to create some test transactions (so you can make sure the restrict distance feature of your configuration is working as you like, or if you’ve set the store to close that it actually does close at the right times etc).
Launch
Once you’ve created some test transactions and you want to be able to share your c4rt with your customers then it is time to launch your shop. Launching your shop will allow you to toggle into “LIVE” mode and collect live card payments from your store front (once you’ve launched you’ll still need to add your “LIVE” payment keys in your account settings area). Upon successful account activation (you create your subscription and complete the first payment) your store front will be live immediately for you to share and stay live until you choose to cancel your subscription.
Dip In & Out
If you’re a seasonal business then feel free to only use our service as and when you need it. We don’t have any ongoing contracts with our users so you can leave and come back when you like. If you cancel your account we’re not going to delete your store and you’ll still be able to manage and change it until you activate/launch it again.
